The Culinary Goddess/PPM Realty Open House Shoot

Hey Sweeties!!

Yes, it's been a long time coming and the actual "Premier" episode of TCG is still being edited-but here are some pics of the two-day shoot! I'm trying diligently to post more often, but with the quarter rapidly coming to an end-my workload has increased and my free time is extremely limited. <Sigh> Please bear with me!! I'm for real!!

So let me just explain real quickly what this shoot was all about: My BFF, Ron Modro, is a Video Production student at AIP and this whole "Culinary Goddess" thing started as one of his school projects  a couple of years ago. Two videos have been made in that time, including a "audition" vid for "The Next Food Network Star" (both are shown below). Fast forward to the present- through a series of fortunate events, he met and started working with Erin Marton, Social Media Marketing Director (did I get that right) for PPM Realty-doing promo's for the agency as well as her blog, "Burgh Living."

Well, to make a long story short-one thing led to another and I met Erin, and eventually her boss Reed Pirain-and through talks with them and Ron, they graciously offered me an opportunity to cater an "Open House" for them! One crew to film me showing "the clients" how to prepare the dishes I made for them and how to entertain guests-and another crew following the Realtors showing/selling the house to the guests as they arrive.

It was a pretty big event and sometimes a bit chaotic and taxing-but all in all, turned out GREAT from my perspective (Ron might be of a different opinion! LOL)  So without any further adieu, here come the pics!!

A Day in the Life of a 900 yr-old College Student....

Once upon a time, there was a 900 yr-old woman that wondered what it would be like to go back to school...what follows is a day in her life!!

I cannot do ANYTHING without "The Nectar of the Gods!!" (READ:Coffee!) Like it the same as my men; Hot, light, sweet and creamy!! <giggle>

...throw on the "Chucks"...a little time in "Hair and Makeup" and...

....grab my "blinged" out phone <hehe>...and...

....It's ME!! Ready for work!! As a Resident Advisor in the Apartment/Dorms I live in (Yes, sigh...I live in a dorm! haha)!!

Ty entertaining me at work by playing some Reggae!!! I love my job, it can be very challenging at times-but it is most rewarding!

THEN....either before or after work-it's time for SCHOOL!!

The "Skills" kitchen

Knife skills quiz...I HATE "Tournee-ing!"

But we make really beautiful product like my "Poached Pears in Wine"

A view of my school at midnight..-off work and on my way to the corner store for a TASTY CAKE!!!

(Need I say more? NOM NOM NOM!!!)

But it's not all about work and school- I get to do some fun stuff too!! Taking a break from catering for the set of The Weakness

Prof. Lauren Zito as "The Bishop" and Erin Marton of "Burgh Living" on set of The Weakness

I also get to cook outside of class for perspective catering clients! My "Signature" Chocolate Creme Brulee w/ Grand Marnier.. <Erin LOVED it!!>

Kailyn, Me, Ron and Jai (taking picture) on our way to The Strip for a little "Culinary Goddess" footage.

Happened upon some wonderful cookbooks- even vintage @ Awesome Books! I'm in Heaven!

Wine.. consumed off-campus, of course (Even though I'm older than the liquor laws)!
Robert Mondavi is quickly becoming a favorite!!

Me and BFF cutting a RUG and having a BLAST on my birthday!!! !

My tiny kitchen in my dorm apartment...Love not having roommates, but it's sooo small but for now, it's home!!

Roast chicken is a STAPLE (whole or split) and my kids-next-door love the way the hallway smells when it's roasting. They say it reminds them of home!

A day's full of work and play swimming in my dreams... I'm BEAT!! (do I REALLY look like a puppy??)
What will tomorrow bring? Who knows-but I am living the life that I love, thanking God for this fabulous opportunity! Wherever this journey leads me, like Spongebob Squarepants always says;
"I'M READY!!"
